The 991.1 Carrera, as per it’s previous models, is available in different engine sizes, the most impressive of which, is the Carrera GTS & Carrera 4 GTS. This increases the output from the standard 350hp, to 450hp at 6,500 rpm. As with the other models, you have a lot of choice for the GTS engine; from the 2-wheel-drive Carrera GTS (Coupe) through to Targa 4 GTS.
The GTS is standard with the upgraded twin-turbo flat-six engine, with the 20-inch wheels from the 911 Turbo S. This Carrera is also special, as it has improved handling with PASM sport suspension, the ride height lowered by 20mm, and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) on the all-wheel drive Carrera/Targa 4 keeping a firm hold on the road to get the most from the 450hp.. It was optional for the rear-axle steering to even further improve the driving agility.
The GTS is renowned as one of the best driving models in the range due to a perfect mix of comfort and performance. If you are looking for all the performance of a model like the GT3, but want to compromise on an element of comfort, then the 911 GTS Carrera is the best option.
