Overview
For 2009, the Boxster was treated to an upgraded engine and a six-speed gearbox (previoulsy only on the ‘S’ models). The new engine improved performance with 255bhp, while maximum torque rose to 290Nm. As with any mid-engined car, the way the Boxster carries speed is just fabulous: the controls are beautifully harmonised, the steering offers detailed feedback about grip and road surface without ever intruding, and the brake pedal offers incredible feel.
