A new generation of Porsche Cayenne, internally named E2 92A. The first generation of Cayenne, was a success, but also was criticised for it’s design at the time. The new design was more positively received and came with many changes. For starters, it was slightly larger than the first generation, and the engine was change to a 3.6l VR6 producing 300PS. The headlights were inspired by the famous Carrera GT and it had a fresh design rear lights which extend across the tailgate. Porsche used lighter materials, with the car featuring more magnesium and aluminium. The new design does make the car lower, however it still is very capable off-road. The interior had a huge update, with automatic climate control as standard, interior air filters, telescopic leather steering wheel with controls, cruise control, leather upholstery, electric seats and universal garage door opener. Unlike the previous generation, the new Cayenne has a 6-speed manual transmission as standard.
