Overview
The Cayman GT4 is possibly the most exciting model within the Cayman range to this date. The GT4 gave Porsche customers what they wanted, a lightweight performance Cayman, that was no longer in the 911’s shadow. This was the first time that a Cayman was granted more power than a 911, and the first time that it was designed in Weissach – home of the “GT” named Porsche’s. It created a huge fuss and for good reason, with the 911 Carrera S 3.8litre producing 380hp and only available as a six-speed manual. The Cayman GT4 is designed more to be a great driving experience, than it is about performance, however it has the performance there too, with 0-62mph in just 4.4 seconds. The GT4 has more aerodynamic advantages than previous Cayman models, with the large air intakes to the front providing more air to the coolant radiators, and directs airflow upwards through the outlet to the front of the bonnet. This matched with the large rear wing means that the design is purposed for more downforce.
How to spot
- Large rear wing
- Large front air intakes
- Dark colored headlights and black details around the Cayman.
- GT4 Decal on the rear in black.
