Overview

The Speedster is one of Porsche’s best homage vehicles to their original designs. The first Speedster was the 356 Speedster, which was the car that really made Porsche begin over 70 years ago. This is the 6th Speedster released from Porsche, which shows just how exclusive this car is, not just for the 991.2 model, but for the history of 911’s. The Speedster is the last of the 991 model range, so for that it had to be special, not only in design, but it also has elements from some of the best Porsche’s available from the 991. The engine is the 4.0 litre found from the GT3RS, delivering 510hp and 470Nm torque. Remembering this is a luxury convertible in design, it can still go 0-62mph in as little as 4.0 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph. The Speedster is a purist in drivability, and has the 6-speed GT Sport manual transmission, with modern technology involved with the rear-axle steering. The brakes are best of the best in series with Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), and the Speedster has carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) to the front lid, rear lid, wings, and full bucket seats.

To pay tribute to Porsche’s heritage, this car was restricted to just 1,948 models worldwide and had an optional Heritage Design Package to give the car motorsport graphics and a two-tone leather interior with elements in Cognac and gold-coloured logos.
